hello all,

upon coming back to the US, i plan on doing a nice comm tank of some monsters.....

got a good deal on a tank with the following dimensions:

4ft L, 3ft W, 2ft H

kind of cubicle like - and i am worried about the length being too short to house an aro for life....the gallonage works out to 180 i think.....

thanks for the input....

what kind of arrowana are you talking about!!

silver not a chance
black/blue no way
jar sure but longer would be better
leichardie same as jar

that tank would be decent for australians or asians.

would this work (of course given the jar doesn't kill everyone)

1 - jar or lei
2-4 - dats
1-2 - monster plecs
1-2 - grow out silver aros

is that too much?

filtration will be dual cannister and a diy wetdry

it may look croweded after like 2 years. dats get jumango, and ur tank is only 4ft long. but it'll work for an aro for awhile. its wide n tall.

if i could only get some asians in socal......

ok, so the final stocking idea:

2 - 10/11" silver (or black/blue) aros
1 - 5/7" lei or jar
4-6 - 5-8" dats
1-2 - 6/8" plecs (most likely 1 gib, 1 panaque)

all introduced within 1-2 weeks of each other ---

from there, will add accordingly as i think my filtration will be up to the task...

2 silvers and a jar/lei in that 4ft tank wont work.

2 silvers alone will most likely fight but u can try it, but adding a jar means mayhem, even a leichardti... leichardtis are cool with tankmates, jus not tankmates that look similiar in body shape/color to them.

ok man seriosuly take the silvers out and ur chill for quite some time.
I love how ur listing the size too of the silvers u want..... u do realise that they will be 10-11 inches for about and month then u will be effed. dont even bother with the silvers its pointless for the tank.

some people just arent cut out for the majestic silver..... LOL jk

but really
