hey i was just wondering what u guys think the min tank size should be for a RTC, my wife and i were talking to a lfs owner and he was saying 180 gallon would be fine. is this true? would a 180 g tank be ok for a RTC or would we need bigger? just curious cause i dont want to buy a tank that we are just going to need to upgrade later cause the rtc out grows it. i would rather get one that would be big enough where we wouldnt have to buy another one. thanks

I say you need something at least 3-4 feet wide, and about 8ft long min. These guys get huge!!! Damn you're from Modesto too!!!!
180 gall is not nearly enough you should consider a above ground pond or a diy tank if you wish to keep one
damn.. my wife said we can't get a 500 gal but i'm looking around for a 300 would that be good for awhile? (i think thats the biggest she'll let me get)
Foot print is everything with these guys... there are plenty of guys on here with rather large RTC's which are perfectly happy in 300 Rubbermaids so you would be alright for some time with that
