Hi, I have just bought a tank that is 78"Lx20"Wx24"H and was wondering whether there're any species of arowana that would work ok in this tank and how long I could keep an arowana in there.

Thanks

you can keep any aro for awhile
if it was 24" wide you could of keep a jar, lei, or asian(idk if they legal in UK beats me)
but since its 20" wide only you gotta get something wider for the future

do you want my answer? or the other peoples answer?

well lets do both

mine-for a silver you could probably go 2 years cause hes more slender making easier for him to turn around than the jar, lei, asian. you can grow the silver to 2ft easy and keep him in there. then for the others you can keep keep them til they outgrow the widdth of your tank. so 18-19" gettin rdy to move.

other guys(will call them flamers):
you'll need to upgrade in 6 months, arowana can grow from 3" to 2ft in 5 months easy! you gonna need 2,000 gallon tank for just arowana and gotta be at least 10ft wide and 20 ft long! your 78" long 20" wide tank aint big enough even for a 5" arowana!

not saying tat everyone says it :D
