Hi guys,


Can help me decide on either 6.5ft x 4.5ft x 2.5ft FGT or 12ft x 3ft x 2.5ft FGT for keeping about 5 to 8 pieces of mid size rays ?

6.5x4.5=29.25 sq.feet
12x3=36 sq. feet

for me, the longer tank is wide enough and gives plenty of room for the rays to spread out and can be divided in case of problems.i would go with the 12' tank.

I still think I would go longer. It will be a very long time before they would outgrow a 3' tank I would imagine.

thanks for your comment. i am also thinking of the problems... as can divide cos if the squarish one is very hard to divide.

i had a 84 long x 32 wide x 30 deep tank with p14 which stay smaller than BD/leo i started with new born pups and within 2.5 years the p14 could just about turn around

if my largest p14 female sat on the bottom with her front lip on the front tank glass she only had 2inch before her tail would hit the back tank glass

i now have a 96 long x 72 wide x 36 deep and they have much more room
