Do you have any wavemakers, powerheads or other motors that can produce heat. I leave my heater unplugged because I have two wavemakers, a 3200gph and 1600gph in my 100g (I know, lots of circulation) and my water stays at a steady 80.2-80.6. I have a digital thermometer so my temp readings are pretty accurate.

No all I have is a pump in sump and a pump in overflow box thanks it I also have 3 thermometers I digital they all read the same

I agree with the pumps, while my tank is only a 180, its bottom drilled for a UG system, 2 pumps. I have this reversed with large sponge filters on the intakes. in summer i need no heaters, water through the pumps heat the water.
