Hi guys need some advice. I have two 125s and in one i have x1 oscar, x1 red devil, and x1 convict. I was thinking about adding some silver dollars and a flagtail to this tank but idk if it would work??
In my other tank i have a cuban cichlid, x1 pink convict, and x1 salvini. I was thinking about adding maybe 2-3 pink tail chalceus but again im not to sure. Any advice is appreciated.

first off in your first 125 the one with the Oscar excetera you will be bit on the over stock side but can deal with this to an extent with good filtration.in your situation you can combat this.Aswell as this we need to know what time of silver dollar your are adding if you were adding a striped silver dollar shoal this would be more manageable but they would most likely be bullied by the Oscar and Red Devil due to their smaller size.I would recommend some wide bars as they get bigger and may be able to withstand the Oscar and the Red Devil more. But these get upto 12 inches+ sometimes os be weary but they are In demand and relatively easy to get rid of well in my area they are don't know if that speaks for all anyway I hope I have offered the answer you wanted!! Oh yeah also the flag tail will outgrow the tank as they can easily retain 16+ inches.sorry can't give advice on other tank

Ok thanks for that info. Was leaning toward striped silver dollars. Instead of the flagtail do you think bala sharks or maybe tinfoil barbs would work?

tinfoil or balls will outgrowth that in my opinion they get from 12-15 inches and like to shoal I would say and 7x2x2 minimum I've seen them in 125 and they had banged noses and were not in good shape 125 would be good for a grout. They need to be in 5s to feel really secure and 5x 12-15 inch fish deserve a big tank
