My 75 gallon tank started to leak a few months ago so I had to drain and shut it down and relocate my fish until I could repair it.I was going to go the usual route of cutting out the old silicone with the blades of my trusty utility knife until this neat looking item appeared on my FB feed.It is meant to be used as a culk removing tool but the way that it's blades are angled seems to make it ideal for tank repair, silicone removal so I thought I'd order one and give it a try.

....as seen the photo it has the angled blade at one end and a flat blade on the opposite end.

Should make stripping fast and easy.

That thing looks brilliant!

If it works decently, I want one! :)

Kinda looks like that but with a wood handle. All I have is the triangle blade but those other ones look useful too. It's lost in here somewhere lol.

Your device might actually be superior cause it looks like you could pit more leverage on the seam stripping action without filleting yourself lol.

Boy,I'd have a ball spelunking through there lol!
I may get around to actually putting the thing through it's paces this weekend. It came in the mail a few days ago but I've feeling really lazy lately.

How well did that work for you? I bought one for my re-sealing purposes and I did my 75g with a regular razor blade but tried out the scraping tool on my 20g but I didn't like it because it didn't ever really cut into the silicone, just bounced off of it.
