Tank & tankmates

Hey guys, recently purchased a 277 gallon i plan to have bichirs in, 250cm long, 70cm footprint, 60cm high. I assume this is a good size for bichirs ? Also curious, about what tankmates that would be fitting in this tank size that would have some decent size

African pike/odoe pike will be nice tank mate for poly
They are good in packs of three and will be awesome as a top to mid swimmer.

It should be, they max around 10"-13" i believe.

Other people will chime in, alot of fish can go with polys, florida gars are pretty cool too with polys.

are you wanting upperjaw or lowerjaw bichirs? that will be a big factor in tankmates

I have one ornate, rest is going to be lower jaw

should be fine for several lowerjaws that is actually a pretty good footprint for bichirs as far as tankmates I can only really answer for upperjaws

Thank you! Yeah its the max footprint i could have, if any larger it would't fit through the door Is the endlicheri congo gonna be too large?

I dont think a endlicheri will be a problem, i believe a congo is a congicus, endlicheri and congicus are two different species both can grow 20"+ but takes awhile.
