I don't use a heater, but due to heat generated by various pumps and powerheads the temperature can be as much as +10F greater than room temperature (so I use a fan for evaporative cooling).

When you said it stays between 77-79, was that the morning/night readings like I suggested? If so you don't have anything to worry about at all.
