  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wait, who killed who now? You made it sound like the arrowana killed the oscar. Or was it the other way around?

I just read it, thank you. Looks like I will start them in a divided 55 gallon. I'm gunna fed them a big variety of food cuz I want them to grow fast and large. Other than obvious size differences, what tank mates are good with arrows? I want to stick with an amazon theme. I'm wanting a tigrinus cat, a variety of knife fish or long finned oscars. Will oscars be to aggressive for adult arrows?

the divided tank deal never has worked for me. they will find some way around.

oscars are really not the best tankmates, nor are pacu. both tend to nip at the aro causing it to jump more, atleast from my exp. big cats are awsome tankmates and one of my favorite. i love tigs, but my all time top cat is the tsn. i have had mixed results with bgks, did good for a while then got nipped to death. pbass are good tankmates when at the apropriate size. south american lungfish are also a fantastic addition to the tank. with them you get the oddball fish that aren't seen everyday and a large fish in the tank that is badass. stingrays like motoros, true histrix, henli, leopoldi, marble motoros, tiger, or flower rays are nice compliments to the bottom of a aros tank.

if you like going outside of the reigon, bichirs, true gar, us natives all are good chocies too. i personally like region only tanks, but i constantly mix with oher regions cause they add a nice mix to the system.
