Tank to small?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would think you should be ok with what you mentioned in a 55 at least until the Zebras reach sexual maturity. Then you might have to remove extra males.

depending on the fish themselves I am pretty sure that they will get along, but I bet all these fish will out grow that tank. "Labs" can get pretty large for mbuna as do zebras. In fact they get larger in captivity than they do in the wild... (with all the food opportunities) be careful not to over feed.

the labs get 6" and zebras get 5"

what about Melanochromis auratus insted of labs? they get 5" are Melanochromis auratus mnuba?

they are... I do not know, it just really seems like it is too small for the fish you want... I am sure that they may seem to fit but they seem why to aggressive to fit long term...

I would try to look into some of the dwarf and lots of rocks...

like what dwarfs? i am trying to find farms with good stock and near me so shipping isnt more than the fish!

what about a colony of tropheus? how many would be the max for my 55?

Most important what would be the max protein percent they can have?

Are moorii a good beginer tropheus? or would brichardi be better? would 10 be ok to start off with?

should be good. aggression will become a problem as they are older
