So just wanted to share few pics of the tank.4096D50E-A59D-4467-BB2A-6E62902284EE.jpeg3CAC2334-677D-41E4-ADC2-A02035A56E91.jpeg
Here are my two jags (they’re a pair) and there’s a snakehead in there too, it’s a Channa Quinquefasciata aka Channa Five Stripes. Here’s a picture of that guy11420B76-39C1-405C-96F2-587F2AABD483.jpeg
They’re all happy. They have their territories decided. They chase each other once in a while but apart from that everyone’s pretty sorted I feel.
What do y’all think about the set up? Any suggestions/changes I should make?
Also, I know the tank isn’t enough for them (75g) I’m saving up for a bigger tank though. Thanks.

The only major concern would be if the Jaguar Cichlid paired up then the Snakehead or Jag may be killed.

The jags are like 5 inches and the snakehead would be around 8. The snakehead dominates the tank for now let’s see how it goes. If there are fights I’ll move the snakehead to another tank

Trust me , a pair of jags will tear the snakehead apart if they spawn in there.I would give the snakehead it's own species only tank.
Is it? I always thought snakeheads were more aggressive than jags. Well I guess I was under misconception. Thanks for your help.

Tank looks great!
Pound for pound snakehead has better weaponry and is a more voracious predator, but vary few fish stand up to breeding parachromis. Cichlids are relentless and may not win one on one, but would torment the snake until it dies of stress or injuries.

Agreed ,they may not snap him in two overnight but they are going to bite and bully him in turn open wounds on his skin will lead to fungus.Fungus kills channa quick. He could do with a dimmer light and more hiding places too :).

Man, that’s fascinating.

Well, if you look closely I’ve made a tunnel kinda thing for him and you can see him in the first picture that if you zoom him. That tunnel is his territory. Actually the whole left side of the tank is. He barely goes to the right side. Same scene is with the jags.

They definitely have it figured out, but cichlids are known for snapping fast. One day it gets along, the next your tank looks like a petco tank (everything dead).
