The water being discolor the way it is makes me wonder if you are doing enough on water change. Are you vacuumeing too when you do your wc?

There are a few courses of action you can take:
1) Figure out the problem and rectify it.
2) Treat the symptom.
3) Live with it.

I am a firm believer in figuring out the problem and rectifying it... but hanging a DE filter on the tank does a very nice job of clearing up any cloudyness! Sometimes treating the symptom is easiest if the base problem isn't causing any other negative effects.

What kind of sand are you using? Playground sand? Pool filter sand? High dollar Aquarium sand? I very begrudgingly sprang for the expensive aquarium sand...

I have a 75 split with a altuvei pirahna and a elongates which are both small. My filtration os a modded cfs 700. A ac is done every week. 30 %. Ill post the parameters later
