Hi,
I've only kept 1 Zebra Danio, a bunch of Goldfish and 3 White Cloud Mountain Minnows, but I have a 59.4 gallon (according to http://www.firsttankguide.net/calculator.php) tank, that I was wanting to put some bigger fish in. Any ideas?
I like the look of some of the eels, but apparently because I'm in Australia the only small-ish eel I can get is the Peacock Eel. Are these good?

The peacock eel show work fine in that tank...I would get rid of the goldfish though. Peacocks are meant to be kept in community tanks and should do well with your zebra and danios. You could make it a planted tank, and ensure there are some good hides for the eel, might make it less shy. Good luck and welcome to MFK.

What I mean is I haven't used the 4ft tank yet, I'm moving the goldfish into a 1m x 1m x 52cm tall pond when it warms up a bit (so in about 2 weeks).

I mentioned the goldfish only because I wanted to show that I am pretty much a newbie.

A large cichlid (oohh Dovii!!!) will take care of your gold fish infestation. lol. White clouds are cool.

theres a lot of fish that will take care of goldfish....

Yes but dude is looking for suggestions and that is not a suggestion, Mine is Dovii because they're Awsome and I want one K?:hitting:

Just that you know, when you do move the gold fish to the pond, they don't need heat to survive(don't shock them though)

I had a look at Wolfs just then Blue Phantom, and they get to 76cm!
I don't think that would fit in my tank.
I've heard Oscars are pretty good fish though.

Much too small of a tank for an adult Oscar. They wouldn't be able to turn around properly in it, much less live happily. Go with either a community tank so you can have the peacock eel, or go with some smaller cichlids. Firemouths, convicts, or a number of African cichlids would all work well in a tank that size. Enjoy your new(ish) hobby!
