I have a RTC, TSN, Pacu, Gar, Arapaima, and a Clown. I have them in a 5000 gallon pond. I can tell you that anything smaller than 1000 gallons is too small for those guys..... except the Clown. They do grow slower than the others. The other bit of info the LFS doesn't tell customers is the life expectancy of these monsters. a RTC can live for 40 years and all those fish can easily get to 20. That's longer than my dogs live ..... Even my kids moved out before my fish.

? And where did your fish go when they moved out! I've just got a picture in my head now of a load of fish walking down the road with their suitcases, lol.
I still have them.....some of them will out live me....... but I do have terrible eating habits. My fish definitely eat better.....no Popeye's for them.
