Tanked!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I saw it. Bothers me that the show is so fake sometimes. Like do you really think that Brett would actually fall asleep on Tracy Morgan's couch? And if he did, that's rude as hell.

I hate how fake the show is but I did enjoy the show tonight. Solely because Tracy Morgan was on it and he is hilarious. That was great when he laying down saying he needed mouth to mouth. A true comedy legend. That was a big score for the show to get someone like him on. Wonder how they pulled it off

The show was alright but there designs are really fail and would love an honest update in person on the spot no say in advance just to see if these tanks really are tanks and not just temporary show tanks for TV.

Yeah the designs are stupid. If I had that shark tank I would want a full glass front so I could see all

There tanks are nice if there meant as event tanks for temporally display for like a birthday, weddings etc but that's about it. Don't get me wrong you could technically make a tank out of anything but the people they make them for I doubt can properly clean them due to not being practical in anyway like the skate board ramp tank .

The show does have some funny parts. That Brett guy is a hoot! Yeah some of the tanks are kind of a waste. Like the keg tank? When I see a MFK tank on the show I'll be happy. Not a bus tank, a gumball tank or a keg tank.

so I was actually thinking about this last night. With the new TV shows, how many people are going to run out and try to get in the hobby on a whim. They will go after all the elaborate set ups, and generally drive the cost of everything up, as there is that much more demand, and basically the same supply. Fish will cost more, and there will be a poorer selection as some of the choicest fish are flushed down the drain by their noobish owners. Every 10g will try to support an Oscar.

The payoff will be when the shows are cancelled and folks bow out of the hobby, then there will be steals in the market.

Side note: Looking for a 220g acrylic, type into the google machine to start looking at new (haha, yeah right) ATM (Tanked Show) top site...no longer sells aquariums...but you can buy a hoodie if you want to. FML.

I wondered if that will be a side-effect of shows like this. I remember reading in Practical Fishkeeping that after the movie Nemo aired, clownfish sales went through the roof. A lot of people tried to get into saltwater, and there was even one horror story about a store selling clownfish in goldfish bowls. :irked: But I guess the upside of that is a bunch of second-hand equipment will come on the market when people realize just how much work this hobby is.

I, too, would like to see some of these tanks a year or so after install. I think I remember hearing that ATM also does aquarium maintenance on the tanks they install.
