An Aro will overgrow some of his bichirs,didn't you read his tank setup?some of his bichir doesn't grow upto a size of an endli and an ornate,it may be possible but it is still risky in the long run(maybe 2-3 years) ....FYI monos & archers can live in freshwater for life

archers and monos do best in a brackish setup. apistos, rams, and kribs could become dinner especially with the bigger species like the ornate. silver dollars are good tank mates. never seen my trio of SD nip or even come close to touching my bichirs. ctenopomas and dats are also good mid-dwelling tankmates. since your in the phil I would personally go with an asian aro for my top dweller.

a few small plecos with bichirs? heard you have to be carefull with that as they can remove the bichirs "protective slime" on accident.

sadthing happen LFS near me had out of stocks of Monos and Archer .....
ill get 3 silver dollar ,it is ok to add Severums or heros rotkeil ...

my 5 cichlids get along great with my senegal, and i also have a ropefish, the i have never seen my cichlids even nibble at the senegal or rope fish once.
