TANKMATE FOR RBP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Around here 125 with tank, stand and top are around 500 and everything is cheap around here so I guess if you live in an expensive part of the country aka the coasts that is a reasonable price.

For the fish I would suggest adding fish of no more then a 2" difference to be safe!

Tank is mid range priced, you can probable find cheaper and you can defiently find more expensive. As for trying to introduce your piranha to a school, it is a kind of hit or miss deal. Sometimes everything works out great other times it doesn'y. If they are all of the same realative size, well fed, and plenty of hiding places, you will have the best chance of them all surviving.

I definitely agree, when I bought my Oscar, he was at the same size as RBP's and he was in danger for first days, but everything is now cool :headbang2

i'd suggest getting 5 or more other red bellies with "tiny" the same size. If not they will eat eachother

i just introduced 3 4"-5" rbp's to my shoal of 4 6"-7" rbp's. As soon as i introduced them they started swimming in a shoal. the small one's tell the big one's 2 fu(k off when they get 2 close and vice versa but never a bit and they have never been chased that i saw, and all their fins are intact. they are getting along like they were all raised 2 gether. its great.
