Many of us keep fish of different temperments, and although everyone warns us "fish A will kill fish B" "don't do it unless you want your fish to die" and so on.... we still try it.
But every now and then, it works. Although it never worked for me, I'm sure its worked for others. Share your stories and pics as evidence. Might be interesting, and I'm bored.

25cm Leichardti Aro with 3cm Golden Barbs. The same Aro that killed a 30cm Snakehead Gudgeon.

I've got 5 different CA/SA cichlids with 4 African cichlids and 2 pictus cats.

The africans couldn't care less that the CA/SA's are there and vice versa.

ive got a tank full of oscars, JD's and africans and one small talking cat and all the cichlids are terrofied of the cat. literaly they run away whenever he comes out.

I had a 4" Red Tailed Shark that owned the tank with a 10-12" Oscar.

my mom has a hugely overstocked/mismatched 55g. my "friend" lost power and we took their fish and then they decided they didnt want them back. we didnt think many were going to live. the only thing that was killed so far was one zebra danio. i'm pretty embarassed to say whats in there, actually, lol.

fish already in there:
mom's fish:
7" jack dempsey
4" green severum
3" rubber-lip pleco
fish i decided i didnt want in my tank anymore:
2" red tip shark
3" bala shark
2" sailfin pleco
6" P. acei
6" orange zebra (african cich)
"donated" fish:
2" zebra danios (x2, one more was in there but was killed that i mentioned earlier)
3" gourami (x3, the regular ugly ones)
6" common pleco

theyre all pretty small (most are very small), so theyre sorta okay for now, but some need to go. i'm thinking the most that should be in there are the JD, severum and rubber-lip, maybe a couple others. the rest are either going to have to be gotten rid of, put in my 125, or i'll have to set up my other 55g for a while.

anyway, keeping with the point of this thread: there are tons of different fish with different personalities in a relatively small tank and they all get along. the only two that quarrel and the JD and the common pleco since the pleco decided he was going to take over the JD's hiding spot....pleco won. the JD was the first fish she got, probably 5 years ago, and is the only original one left. she's gone through (either by death or got rid of) a 4" jaguar, 5" midas, a couple 3-5" green terrors and others i cant remember. the JD isnt very aggressive, just territorial. he usually wont seek out others to pick on, but has been able to hold his own against all of the others. that is why its been so successful

alright, i'm finally done. don't kill me :banhim:
