I don't think your aggression is due to overstocking. Maybe the sal x fm is just overly aggressive and it's asserting itself now. I hate needing to find a regulator of some sort. Is the sal x fm a problem with the others if you don't have the sev? If not then leave the tank be without a severum. I agree with others a upgrade should happen, but further down the road. What kind of pike do you have? There is a lot of variation in temperment and size amoungst the pikes.
yeah everthing was fine with out the severum but when the pike and the EBJD and sal x fm meet they don't like the pike. And the sal x fm just got done trying to lay eggs but the EBJD ate them.

red devil?.... had a similar problem, RD solved it, but now i have another problem..lol

GT or Texas would work if your looking for commons. You will need a larger tank though in a year or so. Depending on how much you feed them/how fast you grow them out.

a blue texas (carpintis) would look VERY nice next to that EBJD

I would take the hybrid out. If it was/is trying to lay eggs then I'd guess that's where the aggression's coming from, what fish is it paired up with?

My EBJD

A SalxFM paired with an EBJD sounds pretty darn interesting to me. I would keep them, rehome the pike, and then try out some non-cichlid tank mates till you get a working mix.

Good luck!

^well he does seem to care much about breeding right now.
