Just curious as to what tankmates you guys would put with a 12" male jaguar in a 180gallon... He's currently in there with 2 oscars and it isnt working, so he will be alone very soon, any suggestions?

ive kept them with festae, grammodes, labiatus.. if you introduce any new fish i recommend taking him out and putting him a bucket for a while and redecorat the tank. And reintroduce the fish together at the same time

RDs,midas,Syns etc.You will need tankmates that are much more robust than Oscars.
It also comes down to your Jags own personality.I currently have an RD/Midas,Pearsei,a Frontosa,a Juvie RD and Trimac and Jardini with my guy and it works so far.

Rd, jd, mota, vieja, tex.....lots of options. You just need to figure out the best way to put your choices together. A lot of that will depend on what specifically, and how many, you want to add.

They don't pick on the front?? and is your Jardini bigger or smaller or around the same size as the other fish??

Oh and I suggest to keep them with any of the bigger Amphilophus, any parachromis, but a dovi might kill it, large catfish, but make sure none of the fish you add in with him are used to living by themselves, and don't let your jag get used to living by itself either or he won't accept a community.

I was thinking midas personally, there is a nice one at the store that is about the same size as my jag, i've been eyeing him up for a while now... and are jags compadible with jardini usually? or is yours an exception to the killer agression green terra?

A midas should work, as long as it's not overly aggressive, your jag does not seem overly aggressive since it actually allowed oscars without killing them

I wouldn't add just the one fish. I would add at least two to keep his focus divided between them. Otherwise you may have two fish, one of them being dead.
