Ctenopoma ,

Butterfly fish (mini Aro)

Good size congo tetras

a nice slice of Africa in your lounge

:)

2 elephant nose may not work , 3 would be better as they can get quite territorial

I have mine with some growout jurupari and festivums, and bichirs.

What type of bichirs exactly? I would really like to get some of those. Bichirs were my original option but i thought that they got too aggressive to keep with them. And also how big does it get? Could i keep it with the fish i listed? Will it outgrow the other fish? ect, ect...

In my opinion a few polypterus instead of the elephant noses would be better. I think a p.palmas would fit in very well and 1 - 2 rope/reed fish would be cool too :)

I used to have an African Themed tank. It was fun. The stock list was 12 Congo Tetras, 1 Syno, 1 African Brown Knife, 3 Ctenopoma, and 1 Senegal. The Senegal would've eventually grown large enough to eat the Tetras, but I sold all the stock before that happened.

You can keep multiple Polys and have tankmates with them as long as they're large enough. Albino Sens usually top out around 8" but the normal will grow to about 12"

Yep, palmas, senegalus, or delhezi might even be OK. Pretty much any of the upper jaw types except for ornates which will get too big. I have senegals in there, they're the same size as the knife, no aggression.
