any tankmate that works with silvers, will work with blacks. anything that wont be to small to get eaten. or anything that wont try to pick on the arowana.

I like Dat's and Bichir's.....or a motoro ray and a dat....or silver dollar's.......or clown knife if you upgrade in the future.....pacu if you upgrade as well.....it's a personal preferance.....I like natural earth tone type fish without all the color....that just me......other then that, blood parrot etc.
Im putting my black with a motoro ray, but they will only temporarily be in the 180 until I get my 375 gall were the black and ray will live with two silver aro's.
