tankmates for SR

hye friends...

nw currently im petting a SR n a motoro in e same tank! my question is...ist possible to add another kind of fish? i would love 2 get a flower horn as another tankmates...shud be 2 same size!! is it a good combi or otherwise??

flowerhorn is a nasty hybrid why would you want to put such a fish with a great fish like a SR

there are plenty of other nice fish to chose from

You may need to keep an eye on them if you want to add a Flowerhorn. It may work, and it may not work. It's hard to say, since some Flowerhorn is so mean, and SR is not pussy, so you could have a war.

"nasty hybrid" in this case, means that they are agro and apparently tankmate-killers ... nothing to do with price or look. A good grade FH are pricey but then so is pedigree Koi (even more i think).

Oh, btw what's SR?

I have never seen a flowerhorn in a comm tank ... also they do require quite special setting to bring out their potential
 
SR = super red Asian arowana

flowerhorn was a fad fish they are no were near as popular as before you would be luck to get any thing for one

color nice
body shape nice
aggression levels rubbish they don't mix with tank mates or there own kind

if you are going to make a man made fish at lest make one that can be kept with other fish
 
yeah definitely not a good mix with FH and SR. and SR with another SR? lol i doubt itll be successful, then id do it..

except you're missng the Super Reds.....lol!!!

It can be done though......if you start w/ a group of SR and wait for a couple to pair up. Personally, I wouldn't chance mixing a SR w/ a FH.
