Hi,
I'm reading all topics about hoplias malabaricus .
Trying to collect more info before buying this fish.
Hi,
My 9-10" Wolf destroyed my 11" Brycon.....sad. Wolf also shredded my 12 year kept Eruptus Hybrid that was twice its size. Currently my 12" Lenticulata Pike keeps it at bay....barely. The wolf will savage her eventually and I am now thinking of starting over with this tank. The Wolf spends all its time in one corner under some plants. The Pike rules the tank but when she approaches the Wolf he attacks. Pike is still much larger but the Wolf is closing the gap quickly and has become quite stout and powerful. Gonna post a thread offering them both up soon.brycon and wolf fish
Welcome to MFK!Resurrecting an old tread ,
I had two figting malabaricus and I only casually found a good set up when wanted to sell them![]()
It was a dangerous balance but together with my most evil fish it worked :
55 gal with many heavy wood refuges ,pair of breeding wolf ciclids ( king and queeen of the tank) , black knife afer ( horror ) , the 2 mala
Had zero problem for 2 years but as I moved out the mala's the afer got beaten up badly so left only the managuensis there
