Tankmates with JARDINI (READ!!!)

My Jardini ( 20" or so ) got along fine with my RTC ( about the same size ).
He leaves Birchirs alone but wont tolerate any fish that swims up in the water column.

anyone ever keep a lei with a jar? also whats the aggression tendencies of leis especially in comparison to jars?
stickyrice had a 16 inch jar and a 16 inch lei together for a while before the jar started to get pissy.

I then moved the 6 inch into a small holding tank, 10 gal. Other tankmates there was a small 4 inch silver arowana and 2 clown loaches (2 inches). They were fine for a few days but one night the Jardini went nuts and beat up the poor silver, who died a few days later. The jardini never attacked the small clown loaches though, probably because they hang out at the bottom of the tank.
I want to trade this murderous guy in for a peaceful silver arowana.
The guy who sold me the the black arowana and the silver said they would all get along fine with the Jardini. Guess he didn't know how bad they can be. I do think they go psycho at night when it is all dark. One idea may be to leave a blue led light on during the night to see what's going on. I never witnessed any of the attacks personally.

Hi all,new member here.I was wanting to know if I can keep a 5" Jardini with African Cichlids around the same size or smaller?
I've seen other setups with a Silver Aro African setup which worked but not a Jardini African setup.Thanks
