OK, Im a stingray guy, but I have gotten into several differnt types of fish besides rays..
Ive read other threads, and gotten some info from them, but I would like to ask for myself...
I have a 75 gal tank. Been set up for awhile, got it cycled and good to go.
Yesterday I got a great deal on a BKF and a Clown Knife.
They, besides a pleco of course are the only thing in the 75gal tank..
Looking for the best tankmate...

Other fish I would like to get and see if they will work together with the 3" BKF and the 5" Clown Knife

Clown Loaches? 3" to start
Angels? (already have these in a 65tall tank, wife would like to put them in the new 75 so she can see them more)
YOYO Loach?
Zebra Loach?
I know silver dollars will with the BKF and CF, but if loaches are ok, will the work with the silers..

and make any other suggestions besides common cichlids..

I'm assuming BKF means "black ghost knifefish".

You can't keep a clown knife in a 75 long-term. They can easily reach sizes of over twenty inches. If you intend on using the 75 as a grow out, then you can disregard this.

On the other hand, clown loaches and angelfish will be fine with a BGK. (I can't tell you about clown knife compatibility.) I don't know what a Zebra Loach is, and Yoyo Loaches are small enough to get snarfed, as mine is still only four inches long by a half inch wide after several years.

ya, the 75 is just a grow out tank. I have several larger tanks that he will be going in when he gets bigger. But rt now he is just to small. I have rays in them rt now and they would make a snack of him

MeiTnerium109 thanks for the info.. yes, BFK means black ghost knifefish. I know all the loaches would get along, but guess I need to see how big a zebra loach gets and a yoyo loach get. Ive always wanted Clown Loaches. But last week, my wife saw the zebra loach and the yoyo loach and wanted to see if we could get some of those.. Im sure I still could, just might have to go into another tank we have..

pic below is a zebra loach so you know what one looks like....

my bgk gets along well with my 3 angel fish. as far as a bgk and a clown knife, my clown knife was very aggressive with the bgk. i wouldnt recommend it. i had plenty of cover for both but the clown knife always wanted the bgks hiding spot. my bgk went from 3" to 8" in 6 months and clown went from 3-4" to 14" in 4 months. your clown will eat anything that will fit in its mouth.

ok, thanks for the info

I have a 6-7" BGK right now and I have 12 yoyo's that are currently too small for his tank because they will fit in his mouth -_- but they'll be going in soon!

My BGK is now 7" he is housed now in my growout tank with half a dozen cichlids that are under 1" and a few bigger ones around 3". He doesn't mind the little ones even if they venture into his hiding spot, but he bullies the bigger ones when they get into his cave. I think that the BGK is one of the better behaved fish.
