I have two Red Sevs in a planted 75 - only been planted for a week however so its really early. So far they haven't bothered the plants much. Sevs are only around 4.5 inches though. I have two very large swords and several anubias. I made sure to buy the largest anubias I coud find.

The swords haven't been touched but I've noticed a couple bites missing from the anubias. This could still crash & burn at any time haha.

YES! Severum do get bigger as they age. You might get away w/ single pair in 55G to themselves.
Interesting. I have them in a 30 gallon at the present, not a 55 yet. How long would it suffice?
