Depending on what size tank your keeping them in. I always found pearsei to be peaceful, but like all cichlids kept in communities, they need respect and plenty off space.well they would be in a 180 for about a year maybe a little over then on to a 600.Do you think the 180 would be to cramped?

Thanks all, much appreciated.

Both tanks are 8ft in length. They may not look it on the photos, but the tank with the pearsei is 4ft wide while the argentea tank is 3ft wide.

Cheers,

Lee.
I see your tanks are plenty wide>The 180 is 6FTx24x24.All young fish none over 9 inch right now.The planned 600 will be 96x48x30

Nutty, where can I find rocks like yours? you got PM.

All my rocks are brought from the stone merchants. Most places now should label the rocks fish safe.

Sorry haven't recieved a pm.

The smaller tank should be ok for growing out, but for full grown fish the larger tank is better.

WOW. That's what u call art !!!

I see a lot of tanks now days, bare bottom, plain background and a couple of Monster fishes.

Your tank just given me an inspiration on "details" that i will incorporate in my future tank projects !!!

Thanks, i agree a huge bare tank with fish swimming around is a bit boring imo. I prefer to have something looking a bit closer to nature.

Thanks all,

Lee.

Amazing tanks and great looking specimens! How big are the heterospila?
