Tannin season in Panama

Same here in Panama with the feral Peacock Bass.
They were inadvertently allowed to escape into Lake Gatun in the 60s, where they have out competed many native cichlid species....but they only grow to about half the size they do in the Amazons softer, mineral poor water.
Lake Gatun's water is hard, with an average pH above 8.

First day without rain was today, so I did a water change to reduce the tannins a little.
Took this jug of tank water out before the water change.

It's not cranberry juice, it is tannin stained tank water.
