tanning works!
i got a 1.5
and after 6 days of having the fish, straightaway i put the lights on
i swear, the cheeks start to get some colour already, also the body is much darker and the bluish greens on the inside of the scale is much more intense not to mention the tail!
exciting
 
:)maybe it'll turn into the chilli red you're dreaming about.

still a pretty fish!
cant stop looking at it lol

i cant wait to get my RTG or lectric blue xb lol

see, top grade fish in New Zealand cost starting of 1250 euros at the cheapest. Sometimes you get a good one for sale for cheap privately, but rarely.
there was a nice Gold for sale 1000 euros.

so i will have to wait and save up for a expensive one
for now my 'would be 'chilli red 1.5 lol will do
 
zennzo, i feel for you, it took so long to get asian aros here.
first they cost 4500 for a normal RTG, which was a total rip off - only half sold so they dropped it to 2000 each (NZ$) and incorporated tank packages and filters with it, finally sold.
then now second grade comes out at 1800 each, i got mine for 900 :) (nz$)

the picture is of a 1.5 grade red aro, so dont expect too much, but hey, its my first asian aro:D
