Bro, try tanning with an Ocean Sun light tube. This light tube will give a kelvin of 10k which is able to tan your fish. Try it if your country is available.

tanx dude. how long should i have it turned on in a day?

Yeah, but why?? Is there a purpose to tanning a fish? Does it make their color better or something? I dont get it.

Yes it does.

It is only really done with asian aro though.

Usually hobbist will keep their fish indoor with minimum contact of light. If put outdoor or expose to sunlight, fishes don't actually can take the flustruation of temperature drop during the day and in the night. But of coz different country has different temperature differences. Maybe you will ask why those fishes keep in the pond can take the temperature different? And the answer is they live in a pond with greater area surrounding them. So temperature drop will be gradually. But if keep in a tank, is a different story. Actually, is not really tanning the fish coz if really want to tan, need to expose to UV but is not advisible. Tanning here is referred to exposing your tank with few hours of aquarium light. Aquarium lighting does not only affect the coloration of your fish, but even affects such integral things as reproduction.

Great info, never realized, thanks!

Thankyou aapl ;)
