Tannins?

Interesting... I've never seen rams and tetras in blackwater tanks, they always seem to be in nice bright clear tanks to show off their colors...

Certain tetras like cardinals developed those bright colors to see each other through water almost as dark as a nice stout ... that's why they are so bright.
 
Fish. They help make fish from blackwater habitats rather randy and makes the water look more natural in the dark water. People waste hundreds of dollars a year replacing driftwood just to get the tannins in their tanks.

$$$ Baggim up and sell them here at the marketplace. $4 per gallon *Still cheaper than gas*

On a serious note though, you guys think buying selective tea for my fishes is a good idea? You know, like how there's certain ingredients for depression and sleep aid, and or specific health issues with digestive tract, etc, etc.
