Chloramines? or just chlorine?

If it's just chlorine a simple carbon inline canister will do the trick.

is there a water filter that i can connect to my tap that mechanically and chemically purify water.
You can buy inline cannisters at Sears, Lowes, or Home Depot and put anything you want in them. I'd do a pleated pre-filter followed by a good carbon cartridge. I don't know if you can get something fine enough to do ich, around 3 microns? Sounds expensive. Something that fine would need a pump to push the water through it.

If you want one already set-up try <http://www.aquamaxx.com> I've used their commercial units in a store and sold their home units. Dan

i think he's being over worried. i use the same water as him. unless he suffers the fact that he's closer to TJ then i am.

Whats wrong with RO?

It removes too much and messes with the fish's osmotic balance. Are you refering to a Brita or Pur water filter? API makes one just for fish tanks that has a hose so you can fill up the tank.
