He presumably doesn't have chloramine in the water and is saying the chlorine is gassed off.

Not necessarily helpful to the thread but w/e.

Would Chlorine gas off that quickly? I have thought about letting the mains enter my tank with a venturi to help the gas off but did not know it would be that fast?

I am using a ball valve which is fed off the mains through a large carbon koi pond prefilter and then I have a dosing pump which feeds dechlorinator in when the ball valve drops - I am dosing the dechlorinator at the level that the bottle suggests removes chloramine.

Keep ray keeping as simple as possible

drain tank water out add tap water conditioner fill from the hose you cant get much simpler than that

you may think the bad stuff gasses off but just say you water company add something extra 2 the water for a few days how would you know

just use seachem prime and you wont go wrong
