...and i cant believe ud want to HOLD a baboon...

I knew there would be a few t keepers here. You know the first time I held the baboon, it bit me and I had no real reaction, so I'm not to scared of it. I only really handle it when I am cleaning its tank and need to move it back to its tank. I don't take it out to hold for fun, just when I need to. I have to admit, I usually use a cup or something. I like getting bit just as much as the next T keeper. And your right about that speed. Lightning fast.

anyone a member of archnoboards.com??? great site :)

yup, I don't do much posting there becuase most of my questions are already answered in previous threads. But very good site for arachnid keepers.

i didnt hold mine intentionaly...that lil basterd got me good though, even though the baboons so small u could see the lil wounds on my leg, no real reaction to the venom with me either though...and im alergic to bee stings so i figured oh **** ima die...oh well.:headbang2 :headbang2  :nilly: :naughty:

my chaco i held for the first time cause my friend christian wanted to see it and it wouldnt stop hiding lol....i thought to myself....im dead.

AHHHHH HOUSE SPIDER IN MY ROOOOOOOM.....sorry....i HATE jumping spiders, i like T's but hate normal spiders....im an oddity, i belong in oddball's collection

this blasted spider wont leave me alone i tried to squash it and it jumped onto my arm then onto my computer then behind me tank....then it came BACK on my desk and was hopping around while i tried to squash it (its been a long day im tired\slow)

will anyone hop on a jet and fly down to Bowie MD to kill this spider for me :grinno:

You're just like me. I can't stand little spiders (although I fed/housed a big jumping spider that lived in the corner of my room, for about a year). If it isn't atleast quater sized, I stay away. It could get lost in your hair or something like that.

lol yea ! although i do have small tinny tarantulas....i still don like regular house spiders THEY look scary to me with those LOOONG legs and HUGE fangs... *starts to cry* lol.... =P

Nice pics M.A.C. do you have specie names to go with them, i dont know enough about T's. Still not enough as there should be for this thread though, lots of words, little pics. You could watch T's as you watch your fish... with your eyes? Do you get your fish out and handle them? anyhoo... not mine, pic from a zoo. Love this species though- beautiful

Thanks

The first four pics are of the same T, it's a Eupalaestrus campestratus aka Pink Zebra Beauty. These guys are usually pretty mild tempered and calm from what I've read but mines very skittish even though it does stay out in the open all the time.

The black T is a Grammostola Pulchra aka Brazilian Black. These Ts are pretty mild tempered and gets to good size, about 7-8".

My next T is most likely going to be a Grammostola aureostriata aka Chaco golden knee. I just started keeping Ts so I'm starting with all the easier to keep variaties

Thanks

It's true that Ts are more look and don't touch pets like fishes.
