Avicularia tend to hide in leafs or web tunnels. A g. Pulchripes can easily get to a 8" legspan they would need at least a 15 or 20 long. Curly hairs as stated earlier are kind of slow and boring. Most t's can live on a diet of roaches or large crickets. One as large as a pulchripes would probably enjoy an occasional pinky mouse or small lizard. I'd give it a few roaches or crickets depending on its size every few days. I fed my a. Chalcodes a few large crickets or small roaches every 3 or so days, then every few weeks I'd give him a week off to fast so he didn't get too chubby.

Well, I think I only have room for a ten gallon for now...once my snake gets a new cage I will have more room so I still don't know if the g.pulchripes will fit in a ten gallon...or if I will have to get a new cage later

It will be fine. Most people keep them in 10 gallons, and those spiders do just fine.

Just get a spiderling. It'll only need a deli cup for a container and is slow growing, so you'll have it for awhile.

I've worked with only 3Avicularia avicularia in my lifetime and they hid in their tube webs all the time.

Ok how long would a 1.5" one to grow to the size it would need a twenty gallon?

Depends on how often you feed it and how warm you keep it. It should take quite awhile to grow to a mature size. I cannot give an estimate, but I can tell you this genus is pretty well known for being a very slow growing bunch.

A 20 gallon for Grammastola pulchripes??? Overkill, man. I can assure you you will never need more than a 5.5 gallon tank for this critter once it's full grown.

Ok I will just use a ten gallonor my exp terra, I will just turn ot on its side
