I can't figure out why a group of SD's dispells so much of the fighting but they did with mine. I seriously believe you would be better off with them than adding more cichlids to an already rowdy group.
Yes that's what I was thinking, even if it would help my Blackbelt, there is still gonna be more fighting in my tank. I also have a fairly small GT and I know that one is going to be in trouble if I add a group of convicts.
So how much should I add? I'm already pushing it with my current stock.

I agree the current stock is slightly crowded. You have more cichlids in your 190 than I have in my 265...You'll probably end up removing or rehoming one or two of them later. If you go with SD's, I'd add about 5-6 regular ones, not the Redhooks because they get too big.

Tinfoils- fast, shiny, stupid, obnoxious, and can take a beating. They won't want to beat on anything else once they are in there.

I've tried tinfoil barbs a couple of times and they always get killed. If you go with barbs, I'd recommend Filament barbs. They max out about 6" and are extremely quick swimmers when they need to be. One of the best dither/target fish imo. Tinfoils get way too big too.

These get even bigger than Tinfoil barbs don't they? If I remember correctly, they grow like 18-20"? I could be wrong....

I still think a small shoal of SD's is your best option.

Still no cosideration to rearanging the tank to break up existing teratories? That should be the first step to decreasing agression in the short term. The silver dollars Balton suggested is a good idea, I was hesatant in suggesting them because your tank it pretty full for it's size already, however if you did re-home one or two you might not have the issue any more anyway and then could use the SDs to eliminate further problems. Like I said in my first post Cons might not work if one of your fish want the Blackbelt dead. IMO it's a stocking issue you need to address.

Yeah, sometimes two fish just won't get along no matter what you do. In that case, one will have to be rehomed or die from stress or injuries. GL

Thanks for the advice you guys, today I've rearanged the tank but it didn't work at all, because it's not really a territory problem, my Amarillo just chases the Blackbelt doesn't really matter where he swims. Convicts will give even more problems and with Silver Dollars it will get a little too crowded now I guess.
The thing is I don't want to get rid of the Amarillo, I already had to bring back Amphilophus Zaliosus and he was my favorite, had the same problem with him as well. He was only chasing my Blackbelt and left the rest of my fish alone. Maybe I'll just remove the Blackbelt.

I decided to put the Amarillo in a spare 90 gallon that I have just to see what happens when he is not in the tank, because today he was even more aggressive then before.
It's really weird because my Jack Dempsey was bossing around my Midas and Blackbelt, but now that the Amarillo is gone the Blackbelt and Midas are the boss.
Could it be that they were too stressed by my Amarillo to even fight back to the Dempsey?
Anyways the tank looks very peaceful right now, Blackbelt has the left side and the Midas the right one and the rest of the fish can swim where they want it seems.
