mmm I'm hungry now, I've had fried alligator which was overcooked and chewy, curried goat-stringy but not bad, ostrich burger- ok but don't need another one, and my two favorite red meats-elk and buffalo, I can get them locally raised at the farmers market and it beats any beef cut you'll have anyday

I had flying fish eggs on sushi once, salmon eggs too. I've done the whole alligator thing too I liked it alot. There's really not too much I won't try.

Wasn't there a similar thread to this before... infact, i think i may have even made it...

But weird foods... being part Chinese i've probably had my fair share...

Gators / Gekos / Snakes / Deer / Jelly Fish / Frogs / Mantis Shrimp (since you added it in) / Horse / Rabbit / Sea Cucumber and the list goes on but i'm kinda brain dead right now...

(all of which taste more or less like beef. Kangaroo is sub par, Bear is really tough but the stew it was in was wonderful, the others are just lean beef, but the elk I had was actually made into sausage and was one of the best things ive ever eaten)
Gator (pretty much exactly how everyone else describes it but I have had some really good samples before)
and some other stuff I cant seem to recall right now

Yes, can buy dogs and cats for food in markets in China. Skinned cats all everywhere in markets, you cannot tell unless you think for yourself, "What mammal is this size?"
