Hey everybody,
Its been a couple weeks since Ive been home with the tank, and my dad has been taking care of everything. He does a good job keeping up with water changes and the daily maintenance until I get back to do the major stuff. I got a call this morning saying my TATF is in bad shape. He has this white growth on his body and his left eye is all clouded over! I need some help ASAP, or I think Im going to lost him.

Thanks in advance!!!20160411_093234.jpg 20160411_093413.jpg

Where did you get a little Tatf from????

Did it get attacked or what happened?

Salt and heat.......

Hes around 8-9 inches, just looks small from the pics my dad sent me. I got him on Kijiji, some guy bought it thinking it was a red tailed barracuda, but then it started killing everything in his tank so he sold it to me. Hes in with 5 red hooks and a very timid kelberi Pbass. Maybe the bass got a little aggressive, Im not sure though as I havent been home in two weeks.

Ill try the heat and salt though! what should I bump the heat to? its at 80 right now

Looks like a fungus infection. How big is the kelberi?...my guess is either something attacked or tried to eat the tiger and it sustained a wound on it's body which got infected or,it got spooked, dashed around the tank and got injured.

I'd lead toward dashed and banged into something. Melafix and pimafix. Both mild yet powerful meds for bacterial and fungal infections.

The kelberi is roughly the same length as the ATF. What would be better mela or pima? The kel has never shown signs of aggression before to any of the fish

Then the tiger was spooked and scraped itself on something.I think Pima is for bacterial and fungal infections but it says it on the label.

Okay thanks! Ill get my dad to pick up some of that today and treat the tank! Think he could survive this one? none of my fish have had this before?

I have seen better and worse but it should pull through.Whichever remedy you go with make sure a water change is done first.
