Just an update on the TATF I bought a few months ago in pretty rough shape. He's healed up really well, has put on some size, and is now smashing pellets everyday! He's now sitting around 8 inches. He's still growing out in my 125, but I have more than enough flow to keep him happy until he can go into the 220 I am planning on building.

How big do you think? Im relatively new with keeping monsters. But I was planning on having an equivalent amount of flow that I have now in the 220.
Currently, I have 1 Rosemont Mover 3600 GPH powerhead, 1 Rosemont mover 900 GPH powerhead, 2 Koralia 1150s, and 2 FX5s for around 7500 gph of movement in the tank.

Do you think that amount of flow could help?

Flow helps but they still need the adequate amount of space.....for life for a tatf I'd do 8x3...but 8x4 would be better

I'll definitely see how much bigger I can build, and Ill try and shoot for the 8x3 to 8x4 range. will have to see if I can fit the sheets of that size into my basement though.

Easiest is to go 8x4 since all wood including plywood is cut to those dimensions.....plus it won't cost you much more if it's a plywood tank compared to buying acrylic

Yea thats the part Im working out. My dad can get acrylic for pretty prices so Im considering going acrylic.
