Tattooed Fish

I went to a local fish store (The Hidden Reef, not a chain) a few weeks ago, and they had tattooed Parrots, that said "I <3 U", just in time for Valentines Day. I told the girl at the register that was cruel and I wasn't coming back. She didn't even know the fish were there. I refuse to shop there anymore. Am I the only one that gets pissed off by this?

It bothers me too, and so does the face that a large number of LFS sell them, including more reputable ones.
 
I noticed the lfs had some smaller fish with heart tats but neither of the chains did .
I can't understand why don't they know thats mean?
And any holiday gift fish is likely to die.
I wish people would learn animals are NOT good presents
 
Does anyone else boycott these stores?
 
The fact they do that just in time for valentines day and then charge $30 for it is disgusting....They have one at my LFS too right now and thankfully no one just impulse bought it on v-day since i saw it there the day after.
 
actually they have these in one of the lfs here and there are some idiots who even bought those
i did try telling what actually is done to the lfs owner as well as the buyer but didn't make much difference to them
the fellow who bougth them is supposed to be a parrot and FH enthusiast:screwy::screwy::screwy:
 
I emailed them to let them know how I feel, but am not expecting a reply. They have my name in their computer, so they will see how much I spent there. Although it is not alot, over $1000 in the last year should mean something.
