ok fishkeeping is gettin a little more popular and fishstores are trying so hard to sell sell sell anything and everything reccomending me anything i talk about.... for instance i have a case of brown algea.. the store said you are feeding your fish too much and brown is caused by phosphate... i agree she then told me i had to upgrade to a huge canistor filter to dissapate phos build up.... i dont overfeed... i told her id rather go with a small uv/powerhead set up because i already have a huge filter... ive always let algea go in all my tanks i only clean the front glass...ive never heard of algea hurting anything.. my fry graze algea all day..... as far as those fish leave them at the chain stores any stores that sell them are hard up and have no fishkeeping rep .... we can eliminate lfs all together i am starting to purchase more and more online... prices are gettin out of hand in my area
