I went to my lfs today looking for a f/w stingray. Instead I bought a F/w flounder. Anyway the person there told me that they could get small ones in for 30 bucks. she said they are teacups. Is this a good deal!

they are going to most likly be a reticulated ray. Tea cup is a general term used for small cheap rays because they look like tea cups. $30 is a pretty good price on them, expecally for an LFS

Do some research first. THEN go for it.

agreed! IMO ur better off getting a captive bred motoro, you will pay more but motoros are considered a hardier ray (only because they are treated better then retics are when they are shipped) Retics are also harder to get feeding after they are imported

yes,, do alot of research,, retic. rays are very sensitive. and 30 $ is a great deal. but make sure it looks healthy and have them show you it eating before you buy it.

$30 is a good deal for a retic ray, but your money should be invested in a different ray.

buy some black worms in advance keep the retic in a warm dark tank and you should not have one problem........

How big do 'teacup' rays get?

thats the problem... tea cups arnt a species of rays.... they can be anything from humerosa to reticulated rays.... anywhere from 18" -30" disk size (not including tails)
