Yes...Cichlids will kill them....


I have mine with neon tetras...they are doing just fine.

a better reason would be,you would not be able to feed the rays properly.

I had a big st tiger with rays,they got along great except the tiger would eat everything before it came close to the bottom.

Another reason....Bettter is relative... I would rather be a bit hungry over getting chewed to death...But to each their own....

yeah Cichlids like to be gluttons and steal all the food.. but even worse they will bite the eyes and disc of ray, stressing it, and leading to eventual death.
