we are cataloging all the other fish species, but the focus is L.oculatus...some huge bass and bowfin along with some other more unusual (or uncommon) natives. we caught our biggest spotted today, at over 70cm--

Masillosteus kelleri is a weird one with a very short snout.. Awesome fossil gars as always though Phil..

It is a spotted.. It is interesting just how much these wild fish differ from what are normally seen in tanks.. We really should have also got pics of this fish before moving it 2 hours in a white container. The colors where really vivid when we first got it. (It is coming back a bit though FYI Sol..little guy is also doing great and just took down a frozen bloodworm :) Gets cyprinid fry and Zooplankton from now on but had to see if it would take it)
