Tegu biting computer?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
@Cakilla- lol thanks

@Mad About Cichlids- His claws aren't large and strong enough to do damage to the screen but you can definatly feel them when you handle him. They hurt just enough to annoy me but nothing serious... yet

have you tried triming them yet? if not i would start as soon as you can. it will make things alot easier down the road when he gets a little bigger ;)

@Mike D- he is very tame(as tame as reptiles can get). He defintly dosen't mind handling and I never have aggression problems with him. I started taming him when he was almost fresh out the egg.

@evilxyardxgnome- It's not like I planned it. He was on my notebook and descided to take intrest in the screen. And he only does it for a couple of seconds. Although I will agree that I probably should have just took him off which I usually do but I though it would make a nice video.

idk laptop screens cost $200-300 I wouldn't let my animal near the screen. I had to live with a laptop for almost a year that was hooked up to a big CRT monitor made it pretty much a PC. Not fun.

Your right and it probably wasn't my wisest idea but whatever it's in the pass now. And again he is still a baby so his clows don't really do much damage.

@MIke D- sorry read your post wrong I though you said "tame" lol. No I haven't trimmed his nails and I am kind of lost how to do so. Can you help me out? What should I use? His nails are so small I don't want to hurt him.

Here is a good vid on nail trimming I found. He also uses his arg tegu as a demonstration too.

It takes some sort of intelligence for an animal to recognize a fish on a screen.
Makes me wonder if a Tegu sees in colours.
Very, very amusing.
