Tegus for sure.
Whats with the foaming at the mouth thing for tegus? I think you've been around some unhealthy tegus.

i hear you on handlablity ( if thats even a word?)
i have held savs, timors, niles and even a mangrove monitor. and then held/ interacted with equally sized arg b/w tegus and a b/g tegu. and i will agree with you on tegus ftw if thats wat ur looking for.
personally i think lizards that big are more of show animals, unless you plan on doing presentations to schools and stuff, then they need to be handlable/tame

V.prasinus / emerald tree monitor
V.kordensis / net pattern tree monitor
V.macraei / magic blue tree monitor
V.beccari / black tree monitors
V.reisingeri / true yellow monitor is not a quince tree monitors
V.boehmei / yellow speckled tree monitor
of the six monitors are resingeri and boehmei quite difficult to eat in the beginning,,
I have to wait about 3 weeks since he came home he just started eating grasshoppers yes, just a grasshopper!

Tegus are awesome pets,tree monitors are on my favorites,but have no on hands knowlegde on them...How about Caiman Lizard!!Not the Croc...
