wow. Wasn't expecting to see more people on here.

Yeah. I'm going to be buying my dad's house. It's about 1600sqft, which is fine for us. Plus it's on about 1/3 acre so we can always add if we want. If by "Back" you mean am I back in the States then no. I won't be back till the end of the year.

Sorry you had to put off your dream tank at such a great price. You're a better man than I am. lol I never really think about all the other stuff. Reality really sucks, huh? That's good you thought of your family first. I also want to nuild a couple of 600 gallon tanks, but not sure about the cost of filtration, fish, and food. One of these days I'm gonna find me a money tree. ;)
 
man i wanna build me some tanks too but i have no idea how man.is there like some fish tank building books or some online instructions i can find or something?everybody talks about just up and building a tank like it aint no thang,but when i start thinking about the type of crap that must be involved man you must need to be like a carpenter or something to build one of them,and I barely passed woodshop in highschool as it is,lol.

Well it is a little more difficult than slappin some boards and glass together .. But it shouldn't be too hard.. Glass company can do all the glass cuts for ya if you really wanna build :) it cost around the smae if you don't find a steal. Sometimes more than just buying.. Payoff is that you did it.And its your foot print... I just built my first stand for free looks tough. If i built another I could probably sell it for fair price:)..

there are a couple threads here in the diy but there are more on another forum. :)

How are you? I am stressing over planning a bday party for my daughter. I have only 2 weeks left and over 60 people!!! And I live in a 2 bdrm apt.. Dunno where I'm gonna put everyone!!!! lol
 
Yeah, did the chuck e cheese thing last year. I am trying to rent tables/chairs to seat everyone outside. I figure this party will cost me about $1000
