I noticed on the site they say the stumps only weigh a few pounds and sink immediately, but being that they are so light, do you find that they need to be anchored down at all. My next tank will have a couple koralias moving a pretty good amount of water around the bottom...

Do you just bury them in the substrate or do you have them physically attached somehow?

They just sink. They're actually made out of a slightly flexible material. I have about 2000gph pointed right at one and it just stays in place.

My local zoo had a set up that gave me the idea how I want to set up my 210g. At the Point Defiance Zoo they have a South Pacific set up with sharks, and what not. They use a very dark/black background that makes the tank appear to be much wider than it really is. You can kind of see it in the links small picture.

I do not want a full 3D back ground but just in the rear corners that would kind of frame in the center portion which would be black to create an illusion of even more depth. I would then add the larger stump which is pretty tall towards the back and then place the roots toward the front to crate a layered look.

I am just trying to justify the shear cost that this would be. And to make sure I get a long lasting product for the money.

Any more comments would be appreciated.
